DESCRIPTION:The next AHARS Foundation Training and Assessment day will be held on Saturday 15th February from 0830 until 1730 in the Skills Centre at Urrbrae Agricultural High School. \nExisting Amateurs wishing to upgrade to Standard or Advanced levels can also be assessed on the day. \nCost: $10 payable to AHARS on the day to cover room hire\, paperwork and tea/coffee. \nManual: The Foundation Licence Manual is $30 if required. \nRegister: You must register so that we have sufficient exam resources and can best schedule activities.  Please fill out the form available from the link on the Get Licensed page. \nPlease bring the following:\n• ID – Driver’s licence\, Passport\, Medicare or Student ID\n• Lead pencils\n• Biro\n• Eraser\n• Notepad\n• Basic non-programmable calculator (The ACMA stipulates that phones must be turned off during exams)\n• Your lunch – 30min for lunch so insufficient time to shop\n• Cash $10 for AHARS incidental costs\, $30 for Foundation Manual if required \nExam Durations: Foundation 30min\, Regulations 30min\, Standard 60min\, Advanced 90min\, Practical ~45min \nLocation: Skills Centre\, Urrbrae Agricultural High School.  Enter via Gate A on Fullarton Rd and the building is on the left-hand side. DESCRIPTION:AHARS Members\, BBQ Picnic in the Park\, in the grounds at the back of the Goodwood Orphanage\, Mitchell Street\, Millwood\, on Sunday the 19th January. \nWe will be providing Meat\, Salads\, Bread Rolls\, and condiments.  You will need to provide everything else\, that is plates\, cutlery\, drinks\, chairs\, table and hats. DESCRIPTION:The 2024 AHARS Annual lunch will be at the Belair Hotel on Sunday 24th November starting at 12 Noon. \nThe cost is $40 per meal but AHARS will subsidise $10 per meal if you email secretary@ahars.au and provide the names of the people coming to lunch\, and their meal choices.  These will be provided to the hotel so the chef can be prepared. \nThere is nothing to prevent you coming without making a booking\, but the subsidy won’t apply in that case. \nEither way payments are to be made to the hotel on the day. \nMeal choices are: \nMains: \n\nRoast Turkey – Crispy garlic crushed potatoes\, pumpkin\, carrot\, greens\, cranberry sauce\, Yorkshire pudding\, house gravy; or\nFree Rand Chicken Schnitzel – Italian herb crumb\, chips\, garden salad and a choice of sauce; or\n300g Beef Schnitzel – Chips\, garden salad\, choice of sauce; or\nSA Sustainable Fish and Chips – Tartare\, chips\, garden salad\, lemon; or\nSalt + Pepper Squid – Garlic aoli\, chips\, garden salad\, lemon; or\nEggplant Parmigiana – Crumbed eggplant\, mozzarella\, tomato ragout\, salsa verde\, garden salad\, chips.\n\nDeserts: \n\nTiramisu – Chocolate sauce\, berry compote; or\nChristmas Pudding – Brandy creme Anglaise.
