This page is a guide to resources that will help you pass the, Foundation, Standard, Advanced and Regulations exams. Some of the resources here will help with all levels of license.
FOUNDATION
Foundation is the first step into Amateur Radio. The Foundation training from AHARS is one day course. The exam consists of 25 multiple choice questions which will all be covered in our one day training course. You need a pass mark of 70%, which is 18 out of 25 questions correct. There are also an number of pratical tests such as identifying antennas and others. You can try sample questions at the WIA Foundation Level Online Assesment.
Some books to consider are the Your Entry Into Amateur Radio available from the WIA, and VK3EYE’s Australian Ham Radio Handbook

STANDARD
Ron Bertrand at the Radio and Electronics School have a series of downloadable videos demonstrating the information you need that specifically targets the Standard license level – https://www.res.net.au/. Supplied along with the videos is a series of Windows Programs that have Drill Questions to test your knowledge.
Along with the video presentations, the Radio and Electronics School Standard course recommends the Radio Theory Handbook by Ron Bertrand. Available from the Radio and Electronics School, Amazon Australia and other book shops. This book is also used extensivly for the Advanced License learning and is a worthwhile resorce on your bookshelf.

ADVANCED
The Radio and Electronics School assist with the Advanced license level by assigning a tutor who will email a word doucument with a series of questions based on the book above by Ron Bertrand.
GENERAL RECOMMENDED RESOURCES
Ham Exam is an excellet mobile phone app that is both for Android and iPhone. The app supports many countries question sets but adding Australia is a mere AU$5.00. It provides question for all exams, Foundation, Standard, Advanced and Regulations. A good tool to self test yourself in the palm of you hand while you wait for the Bus stop, at the Doctors or anywhere. This is better than playing another round of Candy Crush.
