For this Tech Session, John will be showing some simple DIY 2m/70cm dual band antennas that you can build easily and cheaply.

This will make either your new hand-held perform much better, or plug into the back or your base station radio in the shack.

There are a number :

Opposed  dipole
Colinear (made from RG-58)
Flowerpot
Slim Jim
JPole

We will also be able to provide build details either by printed media or an Internet Link for the above antennas

There will also be a NanoVNA and an Antenna Analyser that we can use to have a look at the performance and VSWR.
